About Eric Gibbons
Eric grew up in Springboro, Ohio. He recalls his earliest childhood memories:

“Ever since I was a tot I loved music. I had a radio so early on I can’t remember how old I was. Music was my best friend. Even when my friends let me down the music was there, telling the stories of my hopes and dreams, my sorrows and pain.

My summers were filled with music. A pool pass with my best friend, the radio blaring the soundtrack of my youth. I knew the smell of chlorine in my nose on a bright sunny summer afternoon. I can still hear my favorite tunes muffled under the water as I came up for air.

A year or so later I was hanging out at the college radio station while my mom went to nursing school. Inspired by the magic I started my own in-house radio station with two record players and a microphone. WTEG was born. Mom was my first audience. I often played requests for her.

My zeal for the magic of music and radio has continued. In 1996 I graduated from Mount Hood Community College with a degree in Radio Broadcasting. Since then I’ve worked for radio stations and spent six years as a late night bowling announcer.

Along the way I’ve been priviliged to serve several fine groups for weddings, corporate parties, birthdays, and youth dances to name a few. I’ve never forgotten the joy of youth and the way music can capture a moment forever. As I serve the community I’m always trying to capture that moment, that indescribable feeling that only the language of music portrays to the soul.”
